will now release on December 13. The film was earlier supposed to
release early next year. After the release date of Rajiniakanth's
Kochadaiiyaan was changed, Jackpot got the December 13 slot free for
release.
Rajinikanth's next film starring R. Sarath Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Shobana and Aadi Pinisetty was to release on December 12 as it is Rajinikanth's birthday. A little birdie tells us that Jackpot's lead actor Sachiin Joshi urged director Kaizad Gustad to step on the accelerator for the rush-release.
The Boom director says, "We got this vacant Friday all of a sudden and we decided to make the best of it. As it is, I shot the film in record time, just 27 days. And now we're rushing through the post-production to reach the new deadline."
